Demon Slayer’s Sound Hashira Rocks Bold New Look in Stunning Cosplay

Tengen Uzui is the Demon Slayer Corps’s most recognizable swordsman. He is expected to face the Twelve Kizuki in an extraordinary cosplay.

Tengen Uzui comes to life in a new Demon Slayer cosplay.

Taryn an experienced performer and artist, has assisted the Sound Hashira to get back to active duties. The cosplayer perfectly captures Tengen’s muscular physique and flamboyant attitude in a fresh series of images and also displays a screen-accurate recreation of the costume. The appearance is completed by numerous minor details, such as the precise molding of Uzui’s arm guards, the decorative stones that are adorning the shinobi’s head guard, and the kanji written on the warrior’s unique dual Nichirin cleavers. In one photo, Taryn recreates Tengen’s fighting stance from the Entertainment Arc’s last battle, in which Hashira is forced to wield the second blade with his mouth after his left arm is severely injured during his duel with the Upper-Rank demon Gyutaro.

You can view more photos of Taryn’s costumes on their Instagram page. In addition to more photos of their rendition of Tengen Uzui The Instagram account also contains photos of their stunning Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure cosplay, which recreates the distinctive lines of Hirohiko Araki’s original art. Taryn has co-spy many characters from other shonen anime and manga, such as One Piece’s three-sworded warrior Roronoa Zoo and Jujutsu Kaisen’s antagonistic sorcerer Sukuka Ryomen.

Tengen Uzui first appeared in Demon Slayer’s Hashira Meeting. Uzui, just like other Hashira is initially hostile to the central protagonist Tanjiro Kamado. However, throughout the show, a bond develops between the sound-wielding warden and the Kamado brothers. Uzui is a central character in the Entertainment District arc. There the three wives are ninjas who team up with Tanjiro and Zenitsu, Inosuke, Inosuke, and Nezuko to defeat two members of the Upper Rank, the Twelve Kizuki (Daki) and the Gyutaro. This is the most memorable arc of the Demon Slayer manga. Studio Ufotable’s animation adaptation is praised for its stunning animation and intricate fight choreography.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba was created by Kotoharu Gotouge. It was first published in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016. The entire manga is now available in English from VIZ Media. Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Hulu have now begun streaming the two first seasons. The third season, which will be adapted to the Swordsmith Village arch, is currently in production, however, it hasn’t yet been made available for streaming.
